Summer has been sort of a mess for me stylistcally.
Thursday I showed up at a community concert in a bleach stained hoodie. To be fair, it was chilly (not sure why, Summer is confused as well) and I had to put on my “car jacket” in order to be comfortable.
So forgive that one.
Personally I am still struggling with the fact that I wore the same outfit twice last week. Technically it was three times, but the first day doesn’t count because only my kids saw me.
But still.
I recall looking down at myself, as I snapped a photo from my position on the soccer field, in utter horror when I realized that I had worn the EXACT same outfit, right down to the completely lack of makeup, to my son’s soccer game two days prior.
Summer has caused me to lose a bit of myself I guess. I’m too busy trying to balance work and a childcare. And cleaning glasses. Why do they think they need a clean glass EVERY time they get a drink. Also, why do they need so many drinks?
In less than two weeks I will be spending three days in New York with hundreds of other bloggers networking and learning and reconnecting and taking selfies all over the city.
I am still working out what I will wear for three days in New York with people I know, but I have promised myself that I will NOT bring the hoodie with me for this adventure.
Unless it’s cold and then all bets are off because I can not bear summer chilliness.
The only thing I know for sure will be making an appearance is this dress.
